For years, Todd and my dad (affectionately known as "Poppy") have been talking about making homemade wine. Each year would pass and they would claim, "next year will be the year." Sadly, they could never make it work. Well, as they like to say,"the stars aligned this year!" For once, West Virginia and Notre Dame have the same 'off' weekend this upcoming football season. Yes, everything MUST be planned around football season. (Thank goodness the triplets were born in February!) Anyhow, in an effort to prep for this upcoming wine extravaganza, my dad and Todd did a small test batch. Note the concentration and intensity in the pictures below. I look forward to capturing the first reactions when they finally get to taste their wine.
