Mothers Day.

I have always looked up to and admired my mom. But it was not until I had children of my own that I could say I truly understand and appreciate her. It is now that I think to myself, how do I do what she did? Love without holding on too tight, be honest regardless of the reaction, discipline in a way that when I look back now... makes perfect sense, and remain calm through every bit of worry. I know one thing for sure. I am not perfect, I never will be. I will make mistakes, I will second guess myself, and I'm certain I will not always be their favorite person... but I will love my babies with all of my heart, I will protect them to no end, and pray that somewhere along the line they find a way to understand me like I have my mom. They are my greatest gift, my greatest blessing.

"A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts." ~Washington Irving

Happy Mother's Day with love...

(My efforts to get a picture with all three babies was unsuccessful, so these are just a few fun pictures I snapped over the weekend!)
