Hoppy Easter!

I thought for sure I would wake up on Easter to birds chirping and big rays of sunshine coming through my bedroom window. Instead, I woke up in my dark room to my cell phone alarm to which I hit snooze at least three times. After rubbing the sleep out of my eyes, getting myself cleaned up and dragging Todd out of bed... I headed downstairs to prepare for the babies. Like clockwork, we heard three little voices doing everything to get our attention. Finally, we popped our heads in their room... Happy Easter! I thought... who needs sunshine, when you have three beautiful, smiling faces to greet you every morning! The babies were so excited to see what the Easter Bunny had left for them. They didn't quite know what to do with all of the new, fun toys and snacks. Tanner, to no surprise, went straight for all the cars he could get his hands on. Ella loved up on her new, pink Bunny and cell phone. Gianni enjoyed the spinning, light up egg and play car keys. It is so much fun watching them explore new things and figure out how to play with each toy. After a nice, big breakfast, we dressed the babies in their adorable Easter outfits, hopped in the van (no pun intended) and headed to church.

Our first stop of the day was at Grammy Sue & Pap Pap's for Easter dinner. Tanner, Gianni and Ella had the best time sitting at the table with everyone. Snacking on some of their favorites... Great Grandma James's homemade buns, fruit and pickles (for Tanner that is!). After dinner, it was time for toys, Easter baskets and a brief egg hunt (thanks to Nina!).

Next up was dinner #2 at Nunny and Poppy's house. Even though they were just a little sleepy, the babies sat at the big table snacking on little bites here and there. Too excited to sit through all of dinner, they couldn't wait to get back to the family room to play with all of their new Easter toys! Eventually they had their own dinner. Ella and Gianni could not get enough of Nunny's turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes, while Tanner stuck to his mashed and sweet potatoes.

I could have taken pictures of them all day. Ella, by far, had the cutest Easter dress I've ever seen. Not too mention, the perfect, patent, black & white sandals to match. Then there are my two, handsome boys... no wonder they were surrounded by all the young girls at church! And that Daddy, well, he didn't look so bad either :) Even though the skies were filled with clouds, my day could not have been any sunnier! Happy Easter everyone... from our family to yours!
