New Years in D.C.

Once again, the flu hit our household right after Christmas. Thankfully the boys were spared! Just Ella and Mommy this year. Ugh! So after a pretty rough week, New Years Eve came and Mommy & Daddy were definitely in need of a fun night out! We dropped the babies off at Nunny and Poppy's house and headed to D.C. for the day. Our friends, Smitty (Justin) and Amy Smith moved to Washington, D.C. in the fall from Texas. Vince even drove up for the day to hang out, which was a lot of fun! Our fabulous tour guide (Smitty, of course!) showed us around his new neighborhood and other favorite sites in the area. We enjoyed lunch at Matchbox (delicious!), a little walking around, and even swung by the Smithsonian to see some Dinosaurs (in my case, The Hope Diamond was much more exciting!). Afterwards, we headed back to the Smith residence and freshened up for our night out. We had the best time at Columbia Firehouse for dinner and a NYE party afterwards! Thanks again Smitty and Amy for a wonderful-much needed-night out!

Can't wait to see what 2012 has in store for us!
