New Years to remember...

Well I must say this New Years is definitely one for the memory bank! Not long after Christmas the flu bug hit the James household with all its might. I was the first one down, shortly followed by Ella then Gianni and then Tanner. I called in the reserves (aka The Nunny) to help out. Thankfully she raced up to PA to help Todd tend to all the sick. Although I missed most of the day while I was quarantined in my bedroom... I did hear that they had quite a busy 24 hours of cleaning up some messy situations. After a few days and finally feeling like we were finally on the mends, we headed to Bridgeport to celebrate New Years Eve and an early birthday dinner for Poppy (or so we thought). New Years Eve, Nunny and Todd felt a little under the weather (not quite what the babies and I had... but enough to put them down for the night). So New Years Eve was as follows... Todd in bed at 7:00pm, babies in bed at 8:30pm, Nunny asleep on the couch by 10pm, Me in bed at 10:30pm and I think Poppy was asleep in the chair somewhere around 11:30pm. What a wild and crazy New Years Eve! :) We hoped New Years day we would start to see the light at the end of this tunnel... .."not so fast.." the flu bug thought. As we played with the babies downstairs and snapped a few pictures of Nunny and Poppy with them for Poppy's birthday... little did we know that Poppy would be racing himself to the bathroom minutes later. Like I said... a New Years to remember. Well at least we got one cute picture, right! :)

Happy (belated) New Year everyone!

  1. You are sooo right! That was one New Year's Eve and Day that we will not want to remember. Except, that Notre Dame won it's bowl game! Go IRISH!!
Regretfully, some of those who came up to watch the game caught the bug as well! UGH!!

Love, love the picture!! My sister called and said to me when she saw it, "You were having a good hair day!" My thoughts exactly, she knows me so well!" LOL
